Diva Angels Ride to Solomon's Castle
4th Annual Charity Ride
Over 100 bikes participated in the 4th Annual Charity Ride held on Sunday, October 5th with 100% of monies raised going to six worthwhile charities:
Special Olympics, Susan G. Komen, Second Chance/Last Opportunity, SMART, Samantha’s Friends, Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. The 60 mile ride from Peggy’s to Hoosier’s was enjoyed by all!!!! Even the weather cooperated and waited until the event was over to rain! Thanks to all riders who came out and supported the event along with all of the sponsors who donated so generously even during this slow economy. Your donations and support make a difference in people’s lives and is greatly appreciated by all!!

4th Annual First Step Baby Shower

| The 4th Annual First Step Baby shower for the New Mother and Infant Program was held on Thursday, August 28th. Diva Cynthia Trimarco did an amazing job of coordinating the event. Each new mother received a diaper bag filled with custom baby items and each enjoyed the games including “guess the poopy diaper”!!! -more- |

Save the DATE!!!
The 11th Annual Great Teddy Bear Run, sponsored by the Sarasota Florida HOG (Harley Owners Group) Chapter, is well underway. The date is set for Sunday November 16, 2008. This charity event will benefit KIDS by the SEA, a local non-profit, serving children with cancer in our area since 1982. Every year we have a police escorted parade with a new teddy bear or other stuffed animal strapped to our bike and end at the Sarasota Fairgrounds for a big party with lots of food & fun. For only $10.00 if you pre-register ($15 the day of the event) & a stuffed animal for charity, you gain entrance to the parade & event which includes your barbeque dinner, ice tea and water. Soda & beer by the glass will be available for a reasonable donation. -more-
The Gulf Coast Chapter of the Diva Angels will hold their next monthly meeting on Tuesday, October 21, 2008. Social hour at 6 pm and meeting at 7 pm at their new permanent monthly dinner place: Crusty’s Pizza, 3800 South Tamiami Trail, the south side of Paradise Plaza at the intersection of Bee Ridge & US 41 in Sarasota, 941-366-3100. Meetings are always the 3rd Tuesday of every month.
Annual Meeting Held for Diva Angels
The Diva Angels held their Annual Meeting on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 in Ellenton, Florida.
The National Board of Directors inducted three new members at this meeting. The new members are: Patricia Boruch from the Tampa Bay Chapter as Secretary, Donna DeFant from the Gulf Coast Chapter as Membership Coordinator and Mary Ann Aguiar from the Pasco Chapter as Membership Liason.
The existing and founding directors of the Board remain: Marsha Wolak as President, Susan Goslin as Vice President and Sandy Brandt as Treasurer.

The Diva Angels were presented with this award from S.M.A.R.T. at the last meeting of the Gulf Coast Chapter. S.M.A.R.T. said it was their horse & the Diva Angel’s wings!

Diva Angels, Inc.
is a nonprofit organization of female bike enthusiasts interested in
